USA-TKA Mission Statement: The United States of America Traditional Karate Association [USA-TKA] exists to promote the practice of the martial arts as founded by their forefathers. The association exists to encourage training in the traditional manner of the masters of the past. We are here to stand behind each of our Member Dojo, and to help them down the Martial Way, no matter what path they may take. Our main function is to act as a sanctioning body by which belts are registered and verified, no matter the style of the practitioner. Taking the example of the Dai Nippon Butokukai, the Japanese organization set up to promote and sanction the martial arts, and their teachers. The association will be open to all people who wish to align themselves or their Dojo with traditional study of martial arts. We are not worried about what style you do, as long as you hold the Warrior's Spirit in your training. We here at the USA-TKA specialize in the empty-hand arts of Okinawa and Japan, but that does not mean that we would try and limit anyone to the views we have taken thus far. We grow, as an organization and as individual practitioners every day, and we know that, no matter what martial art one may do, we can always learn from other practitioners of the Budo.
